Santa’s Grotto and Elf Workshop

**PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS FOR THE MAIN SANTA’S GROTTO & ELF WORSKSHOP EXPERIENCE HAVE SOLD OUT**  Santa will make special appearances for 20 minutes at 1.10pm and 4.10pm every Saturday, in the performance area in the main market, so there will be opportunities for photos and children to see Santa if they haven’t been able to get in the Grotto.

This year will feature a magical Santa’s Grotto with an elf workshop experience. First you get to meet Santa Claus himself in his grotto where he will give each child a golden ticket which grants them entry into the elf workshop next door. Here they can play with the elves, dress up and take #elfies in the mirror, do crafts and help assemble toys before swapping the golden ticket for their choice of toy.

Santa’s Grotto slots are pre-booked in 5 minute time slots and you can book a maximum of four children and two adults in each slot with Santa. The elf workshop afterwards is shared with other children who have also just met Santa. The whole experience lasts approximately 20 mins.

You can book online in advance for the Santa’s Grotto and elf workshop experience to guarantee your child’s place. We will try our best to accommodate families who turn up on the day. To make the whole event enjoyable there will be beepers, much like you get in restaurants. This will avoid people standing in a queue waiting to see Santa and instead grant you the freedom to wander around the market and experience the whole event. Your buzzer will go off when it’s your turn.

The Santa grotto ticket also includes a child’s free entry  into Tilgate Nature Centre, which can be used anytime up until the end of January 2019.
